About Us

Pine Point Resort was purchased in 1985 by Wayne and Jean Gardner.  It was built in 1935 and has been well maintained by caring owners ever since.  The Gardners updated the Lodge soon after they purchased the place and the cabins have been upgraded throughout the years.  The Gardners put their heart and soul into the Lodge while raising eight children.  They entertained guests and friends at the Lodge and became well-liked in the community.  When Jean passed away in 1994, two of the Gardner children stepped up to help their dad. 

Having moved from Illinois, it wasn't long before Carol and Wayne Jr. fell in love with the lake, lifestyle and the lodge.  Carol assumed Jean's bookkeeping, marketing and housekeeping responsibilities.  Carol loves to garden and tends beautiful flowers around the Lodge.

You will usually find Wayne Jr. waiting to greet you in the Lodge.  Wayne always has a joke to tell and is full of local knowledge.  Wayne helps his father maintain  the entire resort, including the sporting equipment.  Wayne truly loves the Eagle Lake area and shares his enthusiasm with his guests.
